Studying abroad

Mobility

The unification of Europe and the globalisation of the economy increase the demand for university graduates who demonstrate the skills required for international cooperation. A stay abroad is an excellent opportunity to acquire these skills and perfectly complements the degree programmes provided by the Centre for Translation Studies.

Since 1991 Austrian students and university staff can participate in EU programmes that promote the mobility of teaching staff and students. Especially since Austria's accession to the European Union, our employees have made every effort to seek for partner universities in countries with languages also provided by the Centre for Translation Studies in the course of various programmes.

METS

In addition to the mobility programmes for students that are provided by the OeAD, students have the opportunity to study an entire academic year (MA level) at two different partner universities in the METS programme. Since the academic year of 2009/2010 students that are working with particular language combinations have been studying abroad within the METS programme.
