Researchers from the Institute of Language and Literature at the Mongolian Academy of Sciences visited the Centre for Translation Studies in scope of the project Terminology planning strategy and terminology infrastructure for Mongolia to support scientific and educational development and innovation for two weeks in August. Experts from the Centre and other partner institutions provided training in terminology management and terminology planning, as well as extensive hands-on training in terminology management systems and lexicography tools.

The project is led by Dr. Vesna Lušicky of the Centre for Translation Studies, in cooperation with Dr. Munkhtsetseg Namsrai of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences and Dr. Tanja Wissik of the Austrian Centre for Digital Humanities and Cultural Heritage. The main goal of the project is to develop a systematic terminology planning strategy and lay the foundation for a sustainable, future-proof terminology infrastructure in order to contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adopted by the United Nations.
