PhD student and HAITrans university assistant Raluca Chereji has been awarded funding for her doctoral research from the European Association for Machine Translation (EAMT).

Raluca is one of the recipients of the 2022 EAMT Sponsorship of Activities Call – Students’ edition for her project titled "An Eye-Tracking Study on the Use of Machine Translation Post-Editing (PEMT) and Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) in Translations for the Medical Domain".

As part of this study, Raluca will investigate the whether (and which) speech and translation technologies may help support medical translators who work on patient-facing medical texts such as Informed Consent Forms or Patient Information Leaflets.

Our sincere congratulations!
